An Update from our Co-Chairs - 2020 Event

Hello from your co-chairs Enzo Coccimiglio and Chris Holland. We currently are living in very difficult times as everyone can attest to.
The Ronald McDonald House Charity Golf Tournament is a cause that is near and dear to all those who are involved. We have a great committee who have worked hard with countless volunteer hours over 2 decades, putting on Thunder Bay's premium tournament. There aren't many tournaments today that have stood the test of time like the RMH.
It was a very difficult decision to make, however, given the Covid-19 pandemic, we have decided this year to cancel the tournament and reschedule for a date in 2021.
This decision was not an easy one to make. As you know, each year we generate nearly $100,000 (sometimes more) in sponsorship of such a great cause. We didn't feel it fair to approach our generous sponsors who are struggling in this tough economic climate for donations. Many businesses are just keeping their heads above water. Also, there are the health concerns with close contact and we still are not allowed to have large gatherings.
We thank all that have participated in the tournament and as always, we appreciate our generous sponsors. We will work twice as hard in 2021to provide the London and Toronto Houses with a sizeable donation and a great tournament! Stay Safe!

Ronald McDonald House Charities Toronto and Ronald McDonald House Charities Southwestern Ontario

"Welcome. This is your home."

This is usually the first thing families hear when they arrive, often anxiously, on the doorstep of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Toronto or Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Southwestern Ontario . RMHC focuses all of its efforts on one simple but profound mission: to provide a "home away from home" for seriously ill children and their families to heal better together.

Thanks to your support, last year RMHC Toronto was able to help more families than ever before in their 81-family House in downtown Toronto and in their Family Rooms in three nearby hospitals. Because families need much more than an affordable place to stay, RMHC Toronto was also able to offer programs to support their complex emotional and learning needs. These programs bring comfort, healing and renewal to children and their parents.

Your support has also help to support families through RMHC Southwestern Ontario in their 34 bedroom House 165 steps from London Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald Family Room London on the sixth floor of Children’s Hospital, and Canada’s first House-Within-A-Hospital inside Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus.

Distance hurts, and your support gives families what they need the most - each other. Your generosity enables them to provide the best possible place for families at the worst possible time in their lives.

Thank you for supporting this golf tournament.
